Three Basic Topics for this years Agenda

I'm still in the process of creation. One problem is waiting for other contributions. Creation is torture. English was never my favorite subject. I have DSL and I don't think it's as nice as cable Internet. DSL is only as good as your phone connection. Santa Fe telephone lines are old and undependable. AOL is ridiculous, I'm always getting bumped, and I’m tempted to dump AOL. I've had all three and I think cables best. I should say, was best. The only reason I'm keeping AOL, is because I hate moving. The purpose of this paragraph is because I started this short subject Friday I keep getting disconnected every time I try this subject. Lets move on. We have three basic topics this year.

  1. Sale of property for taxes
  2. Changing bylaws
  3. County Trade for taxes

The reasons for these topics, is we are simply out of money. An assessment is coming because we have no choice. We need to make some small changes to the bylaws so we can do a better job of managing the property. Not enough members get involved with the one meeting we have. We need 60 shares to attend this meeting to do anything. If we can't get enough shares to attend, vote or send in proxy we will need to have an assessment next year again until we have the 60 shares attending. We have two small pieces of property we can sell to raise money by using a realtor. Some people say we can sell and some say we can't unless we have the 60 shares, to give us approval. I've been bringing this up for about three years. Nobody can agree what we can and cannot do. I feel if we don't have an agreement, we need to get your permission before we continue.

The trade needs permission, and the acreage needs approval. Leasing the property is a possibility but we need to ask the county if that's a possibility. I believe Wil was going to try to get a meeting with the county but I don't know if that has happened yet. We do have a survey that I believe the county is interested in acquiring. If the county will lease, the board does not need approval, but if they will only purchase we will need the 60-share approval.

To sell the two parcels north of highway is more of an emergency to raise money to pay expenses, and taxes. This will help avoid another assessment.

The bylaws need attention. Right now we have two board members that can't be in the board a sixth term. The bylaws allow five consecutive terms. We need 50 shares present to make a change in the bylaws to deal with this problem. It's not that I want to be on the board or not, but according to the bylaws, I can't. The members are going to have to step up and give two or three members a break. Later we can be board members again.

Being a board member is not just having body to show up at meetings but must have the capabilities to do the work. If nobody wants to be president or secretary or the new members don't have the capability. We may have a problem dealing with the day-to-day maintenance of the association. Members need to step up to the plate and get involved.

Don’t be shocked when you get a bill. The board is assessing the membership $250.00/share.

This year the meeting will start at 1:00 PM but the doors will open at 11:00 AM for registration and questions. The meeting is going to be as fast as we can get though the topics and vote. If you can’t make the meeting, please send your proxy for a friend, family member, board or vote.

This is fragmented information but hopefully this will also give you ideas and contribute some thoughts.

Printer Arrives.

Printer got to Santa Fe in three days. Needlessly to say I was pleasantly suprised. After the temporary headache I usually get during the setup process, I was pretty much pleased. I ordered the Duplexer unit, separate. Dell didn't have it in stock so I had to order from Lemark. Looks like I'm going to own a hotdog printer. I tested last night. All I can say, it's alot faster then my little $80.00 printer. If anyone needs a Lexmark Z715 let me know I have three. One used and two new without ink or upc code. The two new I bought new for $12.00 each from E-Bay because the two printers delivered were cheaper than one ink refill. $24.00 each shipped.

Agenda For Annual Meeting

On Friday the 10 of March the board established the agenda for this coming annual meeting.

some stuff that's coming up are not going to be pleasant but very important. I purchased a Laser Color Printer for the mail out. I should say that I purchased the lowest cost new laser printer I could find on the net. Originally the printer was going to be purchased by the grant but after receiving the printer and because of the accessories needed another $599.00 would be needed to complete the set. Therefore I decided to buy out of my own pocket. The grand total was $1,100.00 to get all the options I needed to print all the mail out.

Hopefully it will last us a long time. If you would like to see the specs on the printer. Click the picture, Goto Computer Parts and Accessories, Click the Dell Home link, On the seach box on dell type in "lexmark" you'll find it on the list.

We are also looking at the possibility of getting a PO Box in Pojoaque. We will know for sure if a box is available soon.

If anyone has changed address please let us know before the mailing. We need to get at least 60 or more shares to the meeting this year.

Thanks
